Prison Breaks
Our brand new podcast Prison Breaks is a whole new way to tell true crime stories: with the actual escape as the engine of the story, we are able to tell the story of hardened criminals with a multitude of backstories with the frame work being the actual prison break. The stories vary differently; they are from different countries and range from the brutal to the quirky.
These stories will – in contrast to more classic murder stories – focus on the ingenuity and imagination of the prisoners in their effort to achieve freedom and how the police and judicial system responded. Which psychological factors are at play when prisoners need an out? And what are the punishments for the escapees and does it matter in the end?
The common thread of the stories of escapes is to indirectly describe the hopes and dreams of all of us when locked away, for whatever reason. It does not, however sympathise with the crimes, the convicted person has committed.
The show Prison Breaks premieres January 25, 2023 in Danish at Podimo, Mofibo and other streaming platforms. In Swedish, the episodes will drip on to platforms Storytel, Nextory and Bookbeat during April 2023. In Finnish, all episodes premiere April 11 2023 on platforms Storytel, Podimo and
Bookbeat.
